eBusiness Visa Stay Extension
NOTICE
1. | A stay extension/ re-entry visa application for a foreigner working in a company or engaging in the businesses associated with a company must be submitted by an existing company duly incorporated and registered at the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA) and a Director of that company. The company and the director must be registered and listed in the Myanmar Companies Online (MyCO) directory. | |||||||||||||||
2. | If the company’s status in the Myanmar Companies Online (MyCO) directory is not registered, the application will be rejected. | |||||||||||||||
3. | An extension requisition letter with the company letterhead shall be signed by one of the directors of the company as listed on MyCO and the said letter must be attached to the application. | |||||||||||||||
4. | For companies related to the ministries, a recommendation letter from the relevant ministries stating “The ministry concerned has recommended for the eBusiness Visa Stay Extension” must be attached to the application. | |||||||||||||||
5. | For companies not related to the ministries and in the SME sector, a recommendation by the State/Region officers must be attached to the application. This recommendation is based on a field inspection official in charge. | |||||||||||||||
6. | The latest Entry Visa must be an eVisa (Business). | |||||||||||||||
7. | Those who have originally obtained an eVisa (Tourist) but have since changed to a business visa type will not be able to apply. | |||||||||||||||
8. | Those who have originally obtained an eVisa (Business) but have since changed to a different visa type and obtained a stay extension/re-entry visa will not be able to apply. | |||||||||||||||
9. | Passport used for the stay extension application must have a remaining validity of at least (6) six months. Stay extension beyond the validity of the passport is not allowed. Single or Multiple Re-entry Visa can be applied along with the stay extension application if it is intended to leave and re-enter the country during the stay validity period. | |||||||||||||||
10. | The foreigner for whom the application is made must be present in the country for the entire duration from the initial application up to the affixture of the relevant stickers. | |||||||||||||||

Processing fees shall be paid online using Visa, Master, JCB within (3) days from the date of payment notification email which will be sent upon approval of stay extension and re-entry visa.

12. | Processing fees collected online are for Stay Extension/ Re-entry Visa only and exclude Overstay fines and fees for Foreigner Registration Certificate. | |||||||||||||||

If the application is made after an authorized stay period is over, overstay fines shall be paid in cash in accordance with the rate below at the cash counter, Stay Extension Section located at No. 122, Pansodan Street, Kyautada Township, Yangon, prior to the affixture of approved Stay/ Re-entry visa sticker.

If the foreigner for whom the stay extension/ re-entry application is made is in possession of a valid Foreigner Registration Certificate, it must be attached with the application.

15. | In the event the concerned foreigner is unable to be present in person, an authorization letter with the company letter head signed by one of the directors of the company listed on MyCO must be presented. | |||||||||||||||

According to the Ministry’s Letter No. 200/ ga (1092)/ lapana dated 20-10-2014, stay extension/ re-entry visa application fees and overstay fines are exempted for children who are under the age of (7) years during the length of the stay extension applied for.
A Proof-of-age-under (7) years must be submitted. |
